| The
Town of Valley East is located in the north end of the City of
Greater Sudbury. It consists of the communities of Val Caron,
Blezard Valley, Val Therese and Hanmer, as shown in the map to
the right. The Town of Capreol is just another 10 minutes
north of Hanmer. There are approximately 30,000 people living
in those combined communities.
Nature's Haven Parkland Subdivision is located in the
community of Hanmer as indicated with the arrow.
Valley East is divided up politically into two wards: Wards
5 and 6. Ward 6 consists of the communities of Val Therese and
Hanmer and has a population of about 15,000. Nature's Haven is therefore situated in Ward 6.
When we speak of the Town of Valley East we tend to include
the entire community rather than to speak about one ward or
the other. Nevertheless, Ward 6 happens to be one of the most
comprehensive sections of the City of Greater Sudbury. You
will also find as you explore this web site that Nature's
Haven is situated in perhaps one of the most strategically
attractive spots of the entire region.
For example, it takes only 20 minutes to travel by car from Nature's
Haven to Lasalle Blvd in Sudbury. And you can get there in two
different directions. One route takes you along Regional Road
80 which goes right through Valley East and brings you to the
corner of Notre Dame and Lasalle, right in front of the Canada
Revenue Taxation Centre. The other route takes you out along
Regional Roads 85 and 86, bringing you through Garson and
ending up at the corner of Lasalle Blvd. and Falconbridge
Road.
In fact, many people are finding that
the location of Nature's Haven is perfectly positioned to
provide one to enjoy a lifestyle conducive to country living
while still remaining close enough to the amenities of the
large city to the south.
FOCUS ON WARD 6
We will try to provide you with a clear picture of the
immediate community within which Nature's Haven is located,
namely, Ward 6. However, while doing that we will also give you some idea about
the additional features of Ward 5 and also tell you a bit
about Capreol since it is so close to Hanmer as well..
I think you will soon realize that Valley East is one of
the most desirable locations for building a home in the entire
Greater Sudbury Area. Whether building a new home or buying a
home that is up for resale, the number of people who are
deciding to live in this community are doing so because Valley
East is a town that has "everything", and I mean
"everything" a person needs.
FIRST DECISION IS ALWAYS 'WHERE' YOU WANT TO LIVE
It has been said that the first decision a person should
make before purchasing a house is WHERE they would like to
live. There is no point in living in a nice house if you don't
like the community. Therefore, before we even attempt to talk
to you about building a house in Nature's Haven, we want you
to be absolutely convinced that you would like to live in
Valley East. We feel that if you are satisfied that Valley
East will provide you with everything you are looking for in a
community, you will easily be convinced that your best choice
for a location for your home will be in either Val Therese or
Hanmer. Once you check out the alternatives, we are absolutely
certain that you will want to live in Nature's Haven Parkland
Subdivision. Not only will you have the house of your dreams,
it will be located in the middle of a green belt with extra
large lots and will be in one of the most dynamic parts of the
Greater Sudbury Area.
The rest of this section will help you get acquainted with
Valley East, and in particular with Ward Six. |

Phil
and Louise Landry have been preparing for the launch of the
spectacular development that is known as Nature's Haven
Parkland Estates & Adult Living Complex for a long time. They are
the owners of the land which is located at the extension of
St. Michel Street in a section of Ward Six East known as
Hanmer. They are responsible for initiating the
project at this time. One of the reasons for moving forward
with the development at this time is that as a community, WARD SIX has come of age.
The combined population of Hanmer and Val Therese is
approximately 15,000 and WARD SIX has become one of the
fastest growing regions of Greater Sudbury. It is now being
recognized as the preferred choice for many new people moving
into the area. People want to live in community that offers
important quality of life values without having to give up the
many benefits of urban society.
|
| |
| "JUST FAR ENOUGH AWAY FROM
THE CITY LIFE" |
|
Phil and Louise have been watching quietly as Valley East has
been going through a transformation during the past decade
that has caught many people by surprise. In fact, most of the
current residents of Greater Sudbury will be amazed at what
this part of the city has turned in to during that time. What
was once thought of as farm land has developed into a very
attractive residential settlement in which many major
retailers have also established in order to be in a position
when this community reached its tipping point.
New residents find that Valley East is "Just far enough
away from the city to give you that country living feeling,
and just close enough to the city for you to enjoy the
benefits the city has to offer". In fact, you are just 20
minutes away from Lasalle Blvd. from Nature's Haven Parkland
Estates & Adult Living Complex, which is located at the northeast
corner of Hanmer.
NATURE'S HAVEN - THE TIPPING POINT
Most experts we have spoken with agree that the final
"tipping point" that will push Valley East "over
the top" is the new Nature's Haven Parkland Estates &
Adult Living Complex which is being developed at the end of St. Michel
Street in the small community of Hanmer.
Nature's Haven Parkland Estates & Adult Living Complex
will eventually expand to
contain up to 151 single unit modern homes, 42 semi-detached
homes, and a 120 unit apartment complex in a gated-community
styled setting sprawling over approximately 77 acres of some
of the best land in the region.
MUCH MORE THAN JUST A SUBDIVISION
Nature's Haven Parkland Estates & Adult Living Complex is not
going to be the last development for Phil and Louise Landry.
It is the first of what is expected to be several such
residential developments.
In this, as well as in all future Nature's Haven
developments, the fundamental principle which become clearly
evident to all is that the "Nature's Haven" Lifestyle
Concept will work its way though the fibre of the
entire community. This is not just going to be a place where
you can buy land and build a house. It is going to be a place
where you can enjoy a lifestyle and a quality of life that
includes all of the values which are important to people of
all ages today.
"NATURE'S HAVEN" IS A WAY OF LIFE
"Nature's Haven" refers to a "way of
life" that Phil and Louise wanted to create for
"everyone" living in and around Nature's Haven
Parkland Estates & Adult Living Complex. While developing the
Parkland Estates & Adult Living Complex, we will also be actively
involved in helping residents in other parts of the community
enjoy a better quality of life. We will be working with
playground associations, schools, churches, and organizations
to make the community a much more attractive place in which to
live. We will be helping to improve community pride and
demonstrating to everyone that Valley East, and in particular,
our little corner of Greater Sudbury known as Hanmer, is one
of the best places to live, no matter what your age.
With Nature's Haven Parkland Estates & Adult Living
Complex we
intend to show what a "Nature's Haven" development
will mean to a community. Wherever you see a "Nature's
Haven" development, you will know that we will not just
be creating another subdivision - we will be creating a way of
life that will benefit the entire community.
YOU ASKED FOR IT AND WE DELIVERED
Phil and Louise Landry have spoken to countless numbers of
people over the years and they have constantly been told what
people wanted to see in a community. In designing Nature's
Haven Parkland Estates & Adult Living Complex, Phil and Louise
have incorporated just about everything that was deemed to be
important to the people with whom they spoke.
Phil is proud to declare, "You asked for it and we
delivered."
I now invite you to read on and discover why Nature's Haven
Parkland Estates & Adult Living Complex will immediately become
the development of choice for new homebuilders. Valley East,
and in particular the part of Valley East known as Ward Six, is
the perfect place for the first "Nature's Haven"
development, and you have our guarantee that it will only
become better as we turn Ward Six into a "Nature's Haven
Community".

LOOK AT WHAT VALLEY EAST HAS TO
OFFER RESIDENTS OF NATURE'S HAVEN PARKLAND DEVELOPMENTS |
|
|

|
|
 |
The growth of the retail sector in Valley
East
over the past several years has been truly amazing. Larger
corporations do their homework and they have all recognized
the growth potential of this area of Greater Sudbury. They
realize that a place like Nature's Haven Parkland Estates
& Adult Living Complex is exactly what people of today are looking
for. People would rather shop in smaller stores where they
know they will receive personal service and attention. They do
not want to battle the crowds and the traffic, but they do
want to receive the benefits of competitive pricing that one
normally finds in larger box stores. Valley East offers shoppers
an ideal solution to their needs. You have a mix of large
national chain stores that are just the right size: not too
big and not too small. This means that you get national
pricing with excellent selection. You also have a wide variety
of boutiques which offer unique styles and choices from which
to choose. Best of all, the time you save from not driving
into the city and from spending time in long line-ups at
larger box stores enables you to enjoy the quality of life
experiences you are seeking as a member of a "Nature's
Haven Community". |

|
| The Hanmer Valley Shopping Centre is the 3rd
largest indoor shopping centre in Greater Sudbury. It is also
one of the very first indoor malls ever build in Northern
Ontario. This has
become the community centre, not only for retail and
professional services, but also for schools, churches,
organizations and groups wishing to increase their profile and raise
funds for their own activities. Just consider what you will
find, seven days a week, only minutes away from your doorstep
at Nature's Haven Parkland Estates & Adult Living
Complex when you
pull into the parking lot of the Hanmer Valley Shopping Centre.
You can always find something to do at the Hanmer Valley
Shopping Centre, which publishes a "Calendar
of Events" on the community web site "Valley
East Today". |

Besides everything else, perhaps the "icing on the
cake" for most people interested in a home in
Nature's Haven Parkland Estates & Adult Living
Complex is
the tremendous variety of opportunities that are
available in sports, recreation and leisure. Nature's
Haven Parkland gets its name honestly. We are surrounded
by some of the most attractive park land in the entire
region. The area is flat, full of vegetation and
provides a huge buffer zone for residents. Furthermore,
the development is on the outer border of the Greater
Sudbury Secondary Plan, so residents know that there
won't be any future housing developments going up to
take away their natural paradise. The parkland will be
groomed all year long, providing many kilometres of
pathways providing 12 months of enjoyment for people who
like to walk, hike or run in nature. You will be able to
ride your bicycle in the summer and cross country ski in
the winter. You have access to all of this without
getting into your car. Just walk down your street and
you are in the middle of paradise. |
