Infocom Canada Business Consultants President & CEO, Robert Kirwan and Edgar Lajambe, President & CEO of VCCNet.ca Internet Solutions, are pleased to provide several unique and innovative customized corporate services for businesses, professional offices and institutions.

By combining their respective resources and professional expertise they have created a framework which enables them to develop and implement effective strategies that can be adapted to meet a wide variety of corporate needs.

Robert Kirwan started a home-based marketing business in the mid-1980's. In the early years he produced specialty community publications to help in the marketing of small businesses in the Sudbury area. He retired from a 28 year teaching career in June 2001 to devote full-time to the development of Infocom Canada Business Consultants Inc. which today provides marketing and public relations programs for small and medium sized businesses, professional offices and institutions in the Greater Sudbury Area. He is well-known as an advocate of the marketing and promotion of the small business sector of the Greater Sudbury Area. His involvement in business as a marketing & strategic planning expert; the media as a columnist and publisher; labour relations as a Union President; education as a career educator; and in the sports and recreation field have enabled him to make strong networking connections with a wide variety of influential persons in the region. His education background enables him to provide a number of services in the areas of training, staff development, recruiting, public relations and communication.

Edgar Lajambe created VCCNet.ca Internet Solutions as a subsidiary of Valley Computers & Consulting Services, a company he started in 2001 as a private solution to his own frustration with the lack of affordable web hosting solutions that met his requirements and the need to effectively deal with such problems as unsolicited email and infected email attachments. He worked to design and implement the most reliable, scalable and cost effective solution possible that would allow him to meet those needs using his own equipment and specifically selected software that could provide for his needs. It didn’t take Edgar long to find out that his needs, in fact, were very similar to those of many other businesses and so he began offering web hosting and email solutions to many of his valued information technology clients as more of a convenience than for any other reason. And so it was, from that initial idea VCCNet.ca Internet Solutions was born; an internet solutions company that not only kept pace with the industry but strived to offer the newest technology to the masses as reliably and cost effectively. Today, he continues in that same mandate to grow and expand and now has a complete internet and telecom offering that includes everything from web design and hosting to internet, telephone and long distance.

MULTI-MEDIA COMMUNICATION STRATEGIES

Our services appeal to many small- to medium-sized businesses and professional practices that wish to utilize the modern communication methods that are normally only available to large national corporations. We are also quite capable of providing the same level of service to large businesses and public sector institutions that may not have the internal resources to do so themselves.

For example, companies that may have branch offices in other cities may wish to consider creating a series of video presentations (podcasts) which can be accessed via the internet that will provide information required by staff and employees. This means that new employees will simply be required to view the video series at the time of hiring and perform some form of evaluation procedure in order to demonstrate a satisfactory level of competency. It will save a tremendous amount of time for key personnel who could be putting their attention to more pressing matters instead of doing routine training tasks that can easily be done via video. Robert Kirwan's educational background coupled with Edgar Lajambe's technology resources will enable us to produce a very effective series of training videos as well as written instruction manuals, etc. to support the program. You provide the experts and we will help you with the effective presentation of your information.

Other companies that will find our services useful are those which have information that they would like to present to schools and/or other institutions for marketing, public relations or recruitment purposes. Instead of sending out representatives to do a number of individual in-class presentations, we will be able to produce video taped seminars that will accomplish the same goals in a much more cost-effective manner.

For example, we are finalizing plans to produce a series of video taped seminar presentations designed for students and teachers. The video taped seminars will include presentations by representatives of businesses, professional offices, and private and public sector institutions that have a message related to the education, training and career development of students and teachers. The video taped seminars will be produced at the site of the presenter and will be a maximum of 40 minutes in length in order to be used by classroom teachers to enhance their lessons. The taped seminars will be available on demand at any time by anyone who wishes to view the film. People will also be able to listen to an audio version of the seminar.

This process is also useful for conducting workshops. Since the video tape can be paused at any time, the video presenter can be providing instructions through the tape to a facilitator who will be using the tape as a form of audio visual aid to enhance the on-site presentation. The facilitator will be acting as an assistant rather than the expert making the presentation.

The main benefit of the video taped seminars is that they will be available at any time and can be viewed by people in the comfort of their own home. Additionally, presenters will only be required to take the time to do a single presentation that can be re-taped if necessary or if updates are needed. Finally, the video taped seminars can be accessed by individual students and teachers from other cities besides Greater Sudbury. This is expected to be an educational resource that teachers will find extremely helpful.

We feel that we will be offering small and medium-sized businesses an opportunity to benefit from the advanced information technology that they once thought was out of reach of their budget. Our services will produce material that is readily accessible and which will cost very little compared to the value provided to the company. It will allow our clients to be able to effectively communicate with their customers or their staff using the internet to their advantage, namely:

bullet

with video-taped presentations;

bullet

with audio downloads of presentations;

bullet

with web site presentations using photos and text;

bullet

with downloadable PDF handbooks, reports and booklets.

Furthermore, all of this can be limited with respect to access so that it is only accessible by a closed group, or it can be part of a much larger collection that includes a wide variety of businesses and professional offices as well as public and private sector institutions. Our objective is to create a library of resources that. will draw the attention of a broad segment of the community and will provide for a much greater public awareness of our respective clients.

Each of our clients will be provided with a customized program that is suited to their particular needs. We will meet to determine those needs and then develop a plan of action that will be designed to successfully accomplish our objectives.
